Welcome to the household of Gryphon's Keep. We are a medieval re-enacting group portraying an English Household from 1200- 1500 A.D (though we do not completely limit ourselves to that area or period of history). Our household also takes part in events within the Society of Creative Anachronisms (SCA) an international organization dedicated to recreating the historical life and combat of pre-17th-century Europe. Household activities include but are not limited to - heavy armored combat (read more about the combat at http://sca.org/chivarts.html or http://bellatrix.org/school/default.htm), historical research, brewing, archery, sword fighting demonstrations, practice cutting, and striving to depict the lives of those who lived during the middle ages. We are located in the Panhandle of Florida (Fort Walton Beach, Niceville, Destin, Mary Esther, and surrounding area). If you live in our area of Florida please contact any of our members under our contacts page for more information on joining or finding out more about our re-enacting group.
Our goal is to build the household around the members. We welcome all who wish to join a re-enactment group that strives to uphold Chivalry, the Knightly code of the middle ages and actually take part in historical activities such as medieval armored combat, historical research, brewing, archery, armoring and more!
